Tessa Turvey, the chairman of SAPRA had this to say about the very successful stormwater clean-up campaign:
"SAPRA started a stormwater drain project late in 2018 which has recently been completed. Thank you to those who contributed to this project. These men, Thembinkosi, Tshepo and Siya, have done the hard work and have assisted us with the storm-water drain project and work that needs to be done in Saxonwold and Parkwood. This is the only employment they have and financially it is not sustainable for SAPRA to continue indefinitely. If anyone is willing to contribute funds specifically for this team to continue what they’re doing, please let us know."
